International Conference on Tamil Computing
International Forum for Information Technology in Tamil (INFITT) is pleased to announce that, in close collaboration with Kumaraguru College of Technology, an International Conference on Tamil Computing will take place at The Tamil Research Center of Kumaraguru College of Technology, during 13-14 October 2023 .
An international conference with two components: Series of invited talks and a forum for young researchers to present their work (see call for papers on this). Young Researchers Forum is an excellent opportunity for young researchers to present their research work to a global audience.
The Theme of the Conference is “Enabling smartness in Tamil Computing using AI technology“.
Prof. C.N. Subalalitha of SRM Inst. of Science & Technology, Chennai AND Dr. K. Kalyanasundaram of INFITT Executive Committee, Lausanne, Switzerland have kindly agreed to serve as co-Chairs for this International Conference.
We hereby call upon Young researchers within the age of 35yrs old to submit their abstracts on their topics relevant to the theme. Young researchers who are involved in the research on Tamil Computing, Information Technology are requested to send a 1-2 page abstract of their paper for possible presentation in one of the technical sessions of the conference.
The content should be an original piece of work not presented in any other conferences or seminars in the past. All abstracts and papers will undergo a blind peer-review process and the decision to accept the paper will be final based on their recommendations. Best papers and presentations will be recognized with special certificates and monetary prizes in the range of Rs. 2000 to Rs. 5000 for each of the nominated papers. An award committee will select outstanding papers and presentations during the conference for a suitable prize.

Topics of interest include but are not limited to, the following:
The submission of the paper should be in Unicode format with not less than ten pages but not more than twelve pages.
The paper can be in Tamil, English, or bilingual (Tamil, English). Papers written in Tamil should include a one-page summary/abstract in English. Bilingual texts with English being the primary language, Tamil examples may be typed in appropriate diacritics in Unicode with interlinear translation.
If at least one author does not pre-register and confirm attendance, the paper will be withdrawn and not included in the conference proceedings, nor in any sessions during the conference. Recorded presentations or proxy presentations will not be accepted under any circumstances.
